ICC World Cup is scheduled from October 5 to November 19 where 10 Teams will be participating across 10 different venues in 10 different cities. Nine venues will be hosting 5 matches each and the remaining venue will host 3 out of 48 matches in the World Cup.
The 10 World Cup host cities will be as follows: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Hyderabad will host three matches and the remaining nine cities will host five matches each. Whereas Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram in addition to Hyderabad will host the warm-up matches from 29 September to 3 October.

1. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala
The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association’s cricket stadium is set against the backdrop of snow-clad mountains and lush green forests. This is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world of cricket. This stadium serves as the home ground for Himachal Pradesh in Ranji Trophy. This stadium has a standalone capacity of only 23,000 at a single time. The overall infrastructure of the stadium is good and is capable enough to host an International Match like it has proved to do so. It hosted a match between India vs Australia during the BGT 2017. The stadium has already witnessed several historic cricketing moments in its relatively short existence.
2. Maharashtra Cricket Association, Pune:
This will be the first time that MCA will host any World Cup since 1996. The last World Cup match played here was between Kenya vs West Indies where Kenya shocked the world by defeating the West Indies side by 73 runs at the Nehru Stadium, this was the only prime venue in the whole city. Despite being a picturesque venue located just off the Mumbai-Pune expressway, it has a capacity of 37,406. The stadium is currently going through upgradation and maintenance which will make it will be easier to host the league matches during the ICC World Cup, that too will be finalized by the end of September as per the MCA chief.
3. Eden Gardens, Kolkata:
Eden Gardens is one of the gems of cricket that is absolutely loved by the fans. The stadium bears the long story of cricket and its growth in India. The first very Test match that took place in Eden Gardens was in 1934. The ground has seen everything from historic moments to violence by fans. It has a capacity of 68,000 and has a wide history of hosting international matches. Previously it had hosted the ICC T20I 2016 final which was played between England and West Indies and Carlos Brathwaite had single-handedly won that game for WI.
4. Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai:
Not any Indian can forget this stadium and its history because this holds a special place for every Indian. India won the 2011 ICC World Cup Final against Sri Lanka, an ICC World Cup final after 28 long years and that moment when former Indian Captain M.S Dhoni celebrated in his own style was just the moment to cherish for a lifetime and the echo of a loud noise chanting India was clearly audible. M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is the home ground to one of the most loved and popular IPL team which is Royal Challengers Bangalore, has played an instrumental role in the growth of Indian players. This stadium has been in use since 1969. It gained test status in 1974-75 and saw the debut of one of the greatest batsmen of all time, Sir Viv Richards. The seating capacity of the stadium is 40,000 and it has hosted some unforgettable games in its 50+ years.
