The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the fixtures for the warm-up matches of the ODI World Cup 2023. The matches will be conducted from 29 September to 3 October across three cities in India – Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The lineup of warm-up matches for all 10 teams at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has just been revealed. These matches are scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3 and will be hosted across three venues in India – Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Just like in previous ICC Cricket World Cup events, the warm-up fixtures will maintain a 50 overs per side format. However, it’s important to note that these matches will not carry the official ODI status. This interestingly allows teams to include all 15 players from their squad in these games.
Marking the beginning of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be the clash between defending champions England and New Zealand on October 5. The vibrant city of Ahmedabad will not only host this opening match but will also set the stage for the final showdown on November 19.
