The teams for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India have been finalized in preparation for the tournament’s kick-off match between England and New Zealand on October 5th at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The teams for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 have been unveiled, and this 13th edition of the One Day International (ODI) cricket championship is all set to kick off in India on October 5, 2023.
The competition will showcase 10 teams hailing from 10 diverse nations, just like the 2019 edition. It will adhere to the same format, commencing with a round-robin stage before moving on to the knockout rounds.
India seeks to continue the trend of host nations winning the competition, a streak began when they captured the championship in 2011. Leading a 15-member squad will be Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, defending champions England have the return of Ben Stokes from ODI retirement as they attempt to maintain their championship. At the same time, Kane Williamson is crossing his fingers for a successful fitness return as he’s been nominated to captain New Zealand, the 2019 runners-up.
