Mayank Yadav, the young sensational pacer of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), is expected to make a comeback for the upcoming IPL 2024 showdown against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), led by KL Rahul, are gearing up for a crucial match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing IPL 2024. Scheduled to take place at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 19, this game holds significant importance for both teams.
LSG faced some setbacks in their recent matches due to the absence of their key player, young pacer Mayank Yadav, who sustained a hip injury against Gujarat Titans. Consequently, he missed out on the clashes against DC and KKR as he focused on recovering from his injury. However, there’s a silver lining for LSG supporters as Mayank Yadav has returned to bowling in training sessions.
In a video shared by the Lucknow-based franchise on their official social media platforms, Mayank Yadav can be seen back in action, sending down deliveries in the nets. This development suggests that he might be back in contention for the upcoming match against CSK. Under the guidance of LSG head coach Justin Langer, the talented youngster showcased his prowess, bowling at full throttle during the practice sessions.
The side took to social media and shared a clip of Yadav bowling in the nets. “Phir se udd chala,” LSG captioned the post.

Lucknow Super Giants have had quite the roller coaster ride this IPL season. With three wins and three losses in six games, they’re currently holding the fifth spot in the standings with six points.
Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings are sailing smoothly towards the IPL playoffs. The five-time champions sit comfortably in third place with four wins out of six matches.
