Yashasvi Jaiswal, the sensational young Indian batsman, once again displayed his incredible talent by securing his third century in the current Test series against England. His stellar performance played a crucial role in shaping the outcome of the third Test match in Rajkot.
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen showered praise on Yashasvi Jaiswal after the Indian opener achieved a century in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. Pietersen expressed his admiration on Twitter, noting that Jaiswal can score centuries consistently.
In the ongoing Test series against England, Yashasvi Jaiswal notched up another century, adding to his double ton in the previous 2nd Test. This ton in the 3rd Test took his total runs in the series beyond the 400-run mark.
Following Rohit Sharma’s dismissal for 19 runs, Jaiswal displayed patience and dominance against the England bowlers. His innings included 5 sixes and 9 boundaries, accumulating a total of 104 runs before retiring hurt after reaching the century.
After his spectacular performance in the 3rd Test between India and England, Yashasvi Jaiswal received praise from Kevin Pietersen on X. The left-handed batsman expressed admiration, mentioning that he couldn’t find a single flaw in Jaiswal’s game.
“I don’t see a single weakness in Jaiswal’s game in Indian conditions. His greatest challenge is going to be scoring runs away from home. To be classified as a great player at the end of your career, you gotta get 100s away from home in ALL conditions,” Pietersen tweeted.
“And watching Jaiswal very closely over the last couple weeks, he CAN get 100s everywhere and I think he will be a GREAT of the game one day!” he further wrote.
Jaiswal has impressively smashed three centuries in just seven Test matches, maintaining a solid average of over 57 in 13 innings, including two half-centuries. Notably, he has also recorded a double century in his remarkable Test career.
Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal guided the team to a score of 196-2 by the end of Day 3. Shubman Gill showcased his brilliance with an unbeaten 65 runs. However, India faced setbacks with the dismissals of Rohit Sharma (19) and Rajat Patidar, who was out for a duck.
