Hardik Pandya is all set to captain the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024, revealed that he doesn’t really follow social media.
Pandya has been out of action in international cricket since he suffered an ankle injury during India’s ICC Cricket World Cup match against Bangladesh last October. His absence extended to the T20I series against Australia and the South Africa tour. In November, ahead of the upcoming IPL season, Pandya was traded from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians. Notably, he is set to take over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma for the 2024 IPL season, a team with a remarkable record of five trophy wins.
Recently, the cricketer participated in a chat show with the UK07 rider(a social media influencer and YouTuber), where he shared various lesser-known aspects about himself. During the conversation, Pandya also addressed the buzz on social media surrounding a viral photo of him in a supercar. He clarified that someone had sent him the car for a test drive.
Speaking on a chat show with UK 07 rider, Hardik Pandya said: “Main kabhi media mein comment karta nahi hu, to maine kabhi kia nahi, na mereko farak padta hai (I don’t comment in media, I have never done it, it does not bother me).”
Hardik Pandya, the former captain of Gujarat Titans, recently shared some surprising insights, revealing that he isn’t fond of going out. “One thing my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t go out. I am a home boy. I have hardly been out in the last three to four years; the only occasions I have stepped out is when it has been unavoidable, something happened with my friends. I like to stay at home. There was this time when I did not step out of home for 50 days. I did not even see the home lift,”
He added: “I have my home gym, home theatre. The things that I like are in my home.”
In the opening match of the IPL 2024 season, Pandya is set to take the helm for the Mumbai Indians as they face off against the Gujarat Titans. The game is scheduled for March 24, a Sunday, and will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
