According to him, after the intense spat between Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq, along with Gautam Gambhir, during an IPL 2023 match in Lucknow, Agha Salman, a staunch Kohli fan, took to Instagram to advise the Indian cricket star to cool things down a bit on the field.
The IPL 2023 clash between Kohli and Naveen escalated into a verbal showdown, with the banter extending to their Instagram stories. Naveen faced social media trolling and jeers from Indian fans in the early stages of the 2023 World Cup. However, the situation took a positive turn when Kohli and Naveen reconciled during a World Cup game in Delhi. They not only shook hands but also exchanged smiles and shared a warm embrace.
Despite being out of Pakistan’s playing XI during the World Cup, Imam-ul-Haq disclosed that Agha Salman reached out to Kohli on Instagram after the clash with Naveen, urging the RCB star to take it easy.
“Virat Kohli had a fight with Naveen-ul-Haq. It continued after the match and Gautam Gambhir also got involved. Salman Agha messaged Virat on his Instagram handle. ‘Kohli bachche easy ho ja. Kya ho gaya?” Imam-ul-Haq said on the Honest Hour podcast.
Following the World Cup, Naveen-ul-Haq shared the details of his reconciliation with Virat Kohli during their meeting in Delhi.
