The Mumbai Indians fans have always had a special place in their hearts for Rohit Sharma, and that sentiment became evident when the franchise decided to replace him with Hardik Pandya as the team’s skipper. The reaction from fans was a mix of disappointment and anger.
Recently, a video surfaced on social media featuring a young fan expressing his dissatisfaction with Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. In the video, the fan delves into technical aspects of cricket, pointing out areas where he feels Pandya falls short. He even suggests that Mumbai Indians should consider releasing Pandya in the next IPL auctions and reinstating Rohit Sharma as the leader of the team.
During the interview, a passionate Mumbai Indians supporter expressed disappointment in the lack of loyalty towards a captain who led the team to victory in five IPL tournaments. They firmly stated that Hardik Pandya isn’t suited to lead the team.
“Jo captain (Rohit) aapko paanch IPL trophy jitaya, uske liye itna bhi loyalty nahi rakhte ho (show some loyalty towards a captain under whom you have won five titles),” said the young boy in the video.
Further along in the video, he suggested to Pandya that he should work on boosting his strike rate and contribute by taking wickets, all the while ensuring he maintains control over his economy rate.
“Strike rate bada, captaincy dekh, aur wickets bhi chatka thode, boht run deta hai woh (increase your strike rate, watch your captaincy and take a few wickets, gives away too many runs),” the boy added.
The video has caused quite a stir online, captivating cricket enthusiasts who are thoroughly enjoying the passionate outburst from the kid. Many are commending him not only for his fervor but also for his impressive grasp of the technicalities of the game.
