The Black Caps struggled to make an impact, only managing to score a total of 162 runs in their first innings. Tom Latham kicked off with 38 runs, followed by Will Young with 14. Kane Williamson contributed 17 runs, Tom Blundell added 22, and Matt Henry scored 29 before New Zealand’s innings came to an end at 162 runs.
