Virat Kohli, a modern-day cricketing legend yet has achieved another milestone on day 2 of the first ongoing test against the West Indies. He has joined the elite list of legendary batters for the most Test runs for India by surpassing another Indian Legend Virender Sehwag.

The second day of the first ongoing Test between India and West India gave some of the biggest momentous reasons to cheer up the Indian Cricket Team. Apart from Rohit and Jaiswal’s Centuries, it was a good day for the former Indian Skipper as well, who not only played with a defensive mindset ensuring that he takes a longer time to get settled at the crease which resulted in an unbeaten 36 off 96 balls on day 2.
During this knock, he surpassed Virender Sehwag better known as our Multan Ka Sultan to become the fifth-highest run scorer in red-ball cricket. By the end of day 2 in Dominica, Kohli had 8515 to his red-ball career. Whereas Sehwag scored 8503 in 103 Test matches at an average of 49.43, with 23 hundred and 31 fifties.

Playing in his 110th Test match, he has already scored 28 hundred and 28 half-centuries with an average of 48.93. There is a reason why he is being called a Modern day Cricket legend, right? Being near to perfect with his shots and scores, he never fails to get to the peak where he always wants to be.
Batting god, Sachin Tendulkar is on Top with the highest runs for India ending his figures with 15921 runs in red-ball cricket. The Master Blaster played exactly 200 Test matches, scoring 15,921 runs at an average of 53.78, with the aid of 51 hundred and 68 fifties.
The second on the list is the current Head Coach of the Indian Team, Rahul Dravid better known as The Wall of Indian Cricket Team specially in red-ball cricket. He played 163 Test matches, scoring 13265 runs at an average of 52.63. Dravid’s numbers include 36 tons and 63 fifties.
The Third on the list is another Indian former Skipper Sunil Gavaskar- The first batter to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket. Gavaskar ended his famed career with 10,122 runs in 125 Test matches at an average of 51.12. He hit 34 hundred and 45 fifties.
Another Indian legend, VVS Laxman, is above Kohli on the list. In 134 Test matches, he had scored 8781 runs at an average of 45.97, with 17 hundred and 56 fifties.
