Team India is playing the first ODI of the 3-match series against West Indies in Kensington Oval, Barbados.
Indian Team captain, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. But however, the team combination didn’t go well as per the expectations of Indian fans, in this match. The exclusion of Sanju Samson from the playing XI in the first ODI against the West Indies in Barbados was a major talking point of the match on Thursday as India went with Ishan Kishan as a left-handed prominent Wicket-keeper batsman.
The majority of Indian Cricket fans had already expected Sanju Samson to play this match as a wicket-keeper batsman who could have provided the much-needed batting strength to the middle order of the Indian team in this 3-match ODI series. But the fans were in shock to see the exclusion of Sanju from the playing XI.
Sanju Samson was in good touch in ODIs last year: in 9 ODI innings, Samson scored 284 runs, remaining not out 5 times, at an average of 71 and strike rate of 105, playing the perfect role of a middle-order batsman who can stabilize the innings as well as finish with aplomb and fireworks
During the match, Interestingly Suryakumar Yadav was seen wearing the jersey of Sanju Samson on the field. This created some really hilarious moments for the fans to talk about.
