The Indian cricket team has suffered a significant blow as Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul won’t be available for the upcoming second test against England.
India’s cricket squad is facing a significant setback leading up to the second Test against England. Key players KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja won’t be available for the upcoming match in Vizag starting from February 2nd, both are sidelined due to injuries.
Jadeja’s absence is attributed to a hamstring injury, while KL Rahul is set to miss the game due to discomfort in his right quadriceps. Notably, both players showcased outstanding performances in the first Test held in Hyderabad.
KL Rahul showcased his brilliance with a remarkable innings of 86 runs in the first match, complemented by a decent 22-run knock in the second innings. Meanwhile, Jadeja displayed his all-round prowess, claiming a total of 5 wickets in the game, with 3 in the first innings and 2 in the second. Notably, he emerged as the highest run-scorer for the team in the first innings, contributing 87 runs to the scoreboard.
Despite these individual performances, India faced a setback in the series opener against England. The absence of Rahul and Jadeja, coupled with Virat Kohli’s withdrawal from the first two tests due to personal reasons, further challenges India’s batting strength.
Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury on Day 4 of the first test, while Rahul, known for his elegant batting, had to sit out due to a right quadriceps issue. The BCCI Medical team is closely monitoring their recovery, recognizing their crucial roles in the team’s success.

With an impressive First-Class cricket record, Sarfaraz Khan brings valuable experience, boasting 3912 runs at an outstanding average of 69.85, including 14 centuries and 11 fifties.
