Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, arrived in Dharamsala for the fifth and final Test against England, making a stylish entrance via a chopper.
After clinching victory in the fourth Test in Ranchi, securing the series for India, Rohit Sharma immediately made his way to Jamnagar, Gujarat, to partake in the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Following the festivities, Rohit then traveled to Bilaspur for an event, where he had the opportunity to meet Union Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur and India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, before heading to Dharamsala.
The decision to opt for helicopter travel was likely influenced by the absence of regular flights and the challenging weather conditions in the region. Weather forecasts hint at the upcoming match, scheduled for March 7, experiencing temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius, possibly even reaching single digits. These predictions point towards exceedingly cold conditions at the venue, including the potential for snowfall.
In the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series, India has secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. Throughout the series, the young Indian players have showcased their talent and resilience, while the seasoned players have also played a crucial role in the team’s success.
