Surat Police is anticipated to summon Abhishek Sharma, the cricketer who represents Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, to the unfortunate suicide case of model Tania Singh in the Vesu area of Surat.
Abhishek Sharma, the left-handed batsman from Punjab, is facing a legal issue related to a suicide case involving a Surat-based model named Tania Singh. The 28-year-old model, who had a significant social media following, tragically ended her life by hanging herself in her apartment at Happy Elegance in the Vesu area.
The local police, suspecting a possible love affair behind the suicide, discovered that Abhishek Sharma was the last person Tania Singh had contacted with her phone. Despite reports suggesting no recent contact between the cricketer and the deceased, the police have decided to summon Abhishek for questioning due to their past friendship.
Tania Singh, originally from Rajasthan, had been studying fashion design and modeling for the last 18 months. The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, considering the possibility of a romantic involvement with Abhishek Sharma, even though they had not communicated in a long time.
Police Inspector BU Barad of Vesu Police Station emphasized that there had been no recent contact between Abhishek and Tania but acknowledged their previous friendship as a reason for the cricketer being called in for questioning. This development can potentially impact Abhishek Sharma’s preparations for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024.
