After India’s remarkable victory, Rohit Sharma shared an injury update on Hardik. Rohit reassured everyone that the all-rounder had no significant damage, and the medical team will continue to evaluate his condition daily.
Rohit assured everyone that Hardik’s injury wouldn’t keep him sidelined for an extended period during the match. The injury occurred to his left ankle as he was delivering his very first over. Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish that over and had to leave the field. To complete his remaining three deliveries, Virat Kohli stepped in to bowl.
During the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, mentioned that the team management would assess his condition tomorrow morning to see how he’s feeling. Rohit said, “Hardik pulled up a bit sore,” Rohit said during the post-match presentation. “There is no major damage, that is good for us. But obviously with an injury like that, we have to assess every day and we will do whatever is required. Every game is a big game. All of us in the squad have gone through such pressure – crowds coming in big numbers. It is special for us. The crowd has not disappointed us and I am pretty sure it is going to get bigger and louder moving forward.” Hardik was also spotted in the Indian dressing room cheering for team India win suggesting he is in good spirits.
Hardik was seen strolling effortlessly along the sidelines following the match. As India gears up to take on New Zealand this Sunday, there’s a possibility that the management could opt to give Hardik a break, ensuring he remains in good shape for the rest of the tournament.
