Team India batter Sanju Samson has yet again disappointed his fans with his mediocre performance. He failed to mark his presence in the Indian team even after consistently getting selected in the Indian team. While Suryakumar Yadav rocked back to form with back-to-back half-centuries in consecutive innings, one of the other contenders, Sanju Samson, failed to impress yet again.
In the 5th T20I held in Florida against the West Indies, Sanju Samson struggled and could only score 13 runs. This adds to the growing pressure on the Rajasthan Royals’ captain’s spot in the Indian cricket team.
Throughout the T20I series against the West Indies, Samson’s performances remained modest, with scores of 12, 7, and 13. Unfortunately, these scores have contributed to a decline in his average in the shortest format of the game.
Samson’s performance figures are disappointingly low, considering his batting prowess, exceptional talent, top-notch skills, and extensive experience of confronting world-class bowlers in the IPL.
Supporters of Sanju Samson have frequently expressed their discontent on social media, urging the Indian team management and BCCI selectors to offer the Kerala cricketer more chances. During this series, he was given three opportunities against a team with a lower ranking. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make a significant impression, unlike players such as Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav, who capitalized well on their chances in the T20I series.
